Episode 6
Taking Chances

"Ok, I'll stop talking for a bit, you have 5 mins." He stated. "I just can't get you out of my mind Alex, everything I do or music I listen too, it reminds me of you." she muttered through her tears. "I messed up big and I don't deserve you at all." she continued. "Your the best thing that could have ever happen in my life!" She cried. "Is that true? It that really true? If so then why? Why wait this long to tell me?" He vented, and then continued, "All I ever did for you was give you all of me, in faith and friendship and this is how you repay me? I can't believe this is actually happening Angelica, you have no idea of what I though of me and you, and you just take everything we worked together on and just fucked it all up." he stated. "Baby look I-...on't...wh...ell...ou...sor-" the call dropped. Our loner pulls the phone back and looks at it like it was playing some kind of sick joke on him. He quickly throws on one of his favorite T-Shirts and gets into his car to fill gas tank and get started on his day, he's willing to do anything to stop him from calling her back from the dropped call. He arrives at the gas station and proceeds to fill his car up and just stares at his phone..."Why did she really call me?" he thought. "Is she really honest with what she said, did she realize the wrongs of her way?" he pondered. As he reached to pick his phone up his prior caller returns to contacting him, he then proceeds to ignore that call while he finishes paying for his gas. She continues to contact him still, annoyingly trying to get his attention. Our wanderer is now furious at this constant failed attempt to be reached, and picks up the phone, ready to scold her in another creative cuss fest when she yells out, "I need you here right now, I have to talk to you, can you please see me? I just want to see you again!" Angelica breaking down into tears and confessing to her former love that she longs for him. Now our lonely loner listens on the other end and the emotions resurface again, the feeling of missing her, her sweet sent of perfume he used to end up with on the shoulder of his shirt when she rested her head there. "Look, I'll be on my way there. I'm on the road right now, I'll see you soon." he said. "Alex, I love you. I'll be waiting." she replied. "Yeah, whatever, I'm on my way." As our wanderer hits the road he feels completely confused at the event that just transpired. However, among that confusion there is some happiness inside him, he feels normal again, wanted again, feeling as valuable as he used to, back in her eyes, her rock to hold her down, not knowing what the day will bring and what strength he will need to endure the moments that will be unfolding when he finally has the face to face time he deserves. And eventually getting this out of his system...

There are always moments in a serious breakup that one must face oneself and realize that no matter how much you want something explained, or feeling to hear and understand the deserving reason why things happened, it won't change anything, all you can do is move forward, weather that be fixing what is damaged and learning from it, or taking in what you experienced and becoming a better person for it. It's normal to long for someone well after they are gone, we do it in death, we do it when a family members leaves out of town for a while, and we do it when we are emotionally lost. I select Bow Wow's & T-Pain's "Outta My System" as the fitting selection to this story because even though you wanted things to happen a certain way in a strong relationship, that doesn't mean it will. Both parties need to work together and keep level heads to each other and make compromises. And It also means that feeling what could have been, can give you an even greater perspective then what was...
