Here is Part 2 of my local bar highlights showcasing St. Patrick Day's Specials. Elgin Public House well known for their daily drink and food specials, for the month of March carries no difference.  The Beer of the Month is Smithwick's, liquor of the month is Jameson, and there featured Wine is Rosemount Shiraz. First, I would like to thank you for reading my first ever blog post as one of the EACVB's Resident Recommended Professionals.  This is an exciting time in the Elgin Area, and I'm even more excited to be apart of capturing all the hidden gems all over Fox Valley as well.  I hope this is the first of many posts that will be making it's way to the Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau's Blog.  But enough of that for now, time to dive in!  :-)

We have been blessed with the luck of the Irish this year because St. Patrick's Day is on Sunday.  Which translates into a 3 day celebration! 3 Days of Irish Car Bombs, Whiskey on the rocks, Draft Irish Stout, Shepard's Pie, and hopefully 3 Days of great memories with friends and family!

RavenHeart Coffee #TasteNTweet Social Networking Event

A lot can be said about coffee.  For some it's a great way to get started on one's day.  For other's it's a necessity to get through the stress of the day's daily grind.  Coffee is what relaxes the nerves and eases the soul.  In my family, like any other family, we always have coffee brewing when we socialize and talk with relatives or friends after a nice dinner.  It's sets off the evening in just the right way.  Coffee brings people together, to socialize to speak to each other.  Now, you won't exactly find me whittling hours away getting pumped full of caffeine every day of the week.  But when I do go out for a good ole cup of Joe, I go local.  RavenHeart Coffee is by far one of the best spots in downtown Elgin.  They recently had a #TasteNTweet in promotion with the Elgin Area CVB and Downtown Neighborhood Association Of Elgin.  It gave the local peeps in the area an opportunity to meet each other aside from their twitter handles.
