My One Hellva Weekend of Life/Work Balance, sort of...

All I have to say is that this was one of the most longest weekends I've definitely had in a while. It all started on Friday night when I was on the verge of going out and meeting some friends from work to enjoy some cold drinks and good conversation. I turned the offer down in exchange to put a calming influence in motion for the weekend. So I attempted to go online for a change and play MOHAA (Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault) against some friends of mine for a change. Well, I can continue by saying that this was a very much needed time for me, to relax and not worry about making a time deadlines and such for work or meeting friends and all, I just had to worry about how much fun I can have while enjoying some of Papa John's Pizza. It was all in all a great time and was also a great stress reliever for me. I ended my Friday night at around about 1:00a.m., and that was the last time I went to sleep for the rest of the weekend...

CLUB 720: So my cousin Tomas (check previous post) decided that he wanted to celebrate his birthday at Club 720s, which is a good place to bring in the old age changing festivities. We ended up buying a Bottle of Absolute VODKA and also a bottle of Patron as well, I got so blasted in the first hour from all the drinks that I had no choice but to cut my self off because I drove to the club that night and would have to eventually drive back home. Oh how I miss those days of having a buddy as the driver and getting totally wasted without worrying about driving back home. Anyways, a great time was had by all and my cousin couldn't have asked for a better time, and neither could I, we had a great atmosphere from the DJ's mixing, the wait staff & security (whom we knew and had the hook-up) to the ladies in the club as well, definitely a grown & sexy night. We had a great time but unfortunately I forgot my camera in my car (I know, I know) and wasn't able to post any photos of it up but some of my friends did to which I will make it a point to very soon when I get a hold of them. So I pretty much stayed there till about 3:45a.m. then I had no choice but to leave. Which I put myself into so much torture for leaving so late, doing nothing but drinking and moving from one dance floor to another and also battling a couple people to some house music. Then comes the crazy part, I have to drive home and get ready for work...yes I have to work on Sunday!

So now here I am, driving all the way from Chicago back to my home town to only give myself like 30 mins to drink some iced tea, eat some Oreo cookies and change for work, which is Solider Field by the way, which is why the BEARS logo is posted above. Anyone who knows me knows that I work in the Partnership between my company and The Chicago White Sox and also the Chicago Bears. So here I am 6am in the parking lot trying to make sense of it all justifying why it was okay to miss sleep on Saturday. Next thing I know, I working a 12 hour day at Solider Field and find myself falling asleep during the whole day, the drive from the club to my home, my home to my office, my office to solider field, and I'm in a bad way for some sleep. So now my day's done and I'm on my way back to the office to finish my day, and to then drive home. I was thinking, "Oh man, I'm starving and I haven't even slept yet." So I get home to seeing my little bro and my cousin the Birthday boy pwning on Gears of War for the XBOX360 and I changed my clothes for dinner, yeah that's right my ass went straight to the Lonestar steak house to reward myself for making it through the weekend with no sleep. Afterwards I enjoy a good small coma of a nights rest, It felt like the moment I jumped onto my nice pillow topped king sized bed, my body surpassed REM sleep and I must've have about 100 very intense detailed dreams, you know the kind, the dreams that make you wake up like your still in it, no matter what the dream was about, your still living it. I'm still trying to get my body back into the swing of things here, but I must say Monday as a day off doesn't bother me at all.
